Update on life at the Barn

 Hello friends,
well things are cruising along here in Rushworth. The barn is looking great just some finishing touches to complete the interior then more landscaping outside. Started some of that today ...Yeah I know you would think that I would be sick of it as I do it for a living BUT can't keep a good woman down he he ...besides it's for our benefit...... so laid footings and base for next stage of paving out on the north side of barn will take pics as I go so stay tuned. We had our local bushwalking morning this Saturday just gone, headed to Runnymeade just out of Elmore Vic saw some beautiful redgum grey box reserve on the edge of the Campaspe river, it was a pleasant surprise to come across some magnificent specimens of redgum trees on this depleted waterway (due to drought conditions) and the birdlife was at its busy best morning activities......really beautiful. It is quite amazing these little pockets of nature dotted throughout our landscape so if you ever have the urge just go out and explore you will be rewarded tenfold. Sorry I don't have pictures we all forgot cameras but I had mobile so if I get a good one from that I will post soon.
Happy whatever it is you enjoy.... Carol X

Bushwalking Doctors Swamp

        Hi everyone ,
just a quick note to remind any interested parties of our bushwalk which starts again after the hot weather... We are departing from Rushworth Community House in High St 8am start . We are travelling down the road to Murchison to Doctors Swamp which is a beautiful piece of redgum wetland.....
Hope to see you there. Bring warmies as the weather has turned nasty this week. What has happened to our balmy autumn days ?????
                                             Ciao Carol x

Mosaic Barn Happenings

Mosaic Barn Sept 02 002

Hi again just a quick hello to let you know that the barn is still happening it is in its finishing stages.

The lighting has been installed and being trialled  today , which runs on generator power until in the future we set up a small solar system as we have solar power on our property. Plumbing of the sink is next in line but in the meantime we have been giving the pizza oven a good workout highly recommend an oven to anyone they are great......

The next big project is to design and complete mosaic floor rug which has its foundation built to start mosaicing when I get motivated and spare time... So keep tuned to this space and I will take some more pics..

                    Ciao for now Carol.

Landscaping and Pizza Oven Building...

Hello again,

the pizza oven building has been progressing well although have come to a brief (I wish!!) stop due to very hot weather... so much for autumn!! There doesn't look like much relief before easter so the final stages will still be a good week off.

The landscaping pics uploaded this week are of a job we did at Kialla and of our local community house courtyard garden.

The hard landscaping at Kialla is my favorite of all our jobs done so far very nice... blends in really well with the owners house and lovely native garden.
